Solar Analysis Using GIS

Learn how to use ArcGIS’s solar analysis tools to estimate solar potential seasonally and annually at points and over areas. Applications include city/land use planning, personal home solar panel planning, and vegetation management, among others.

This Workshop is one of several funded by the Career Technology and Education Perkins Grant fund for Spring 2011.

 

These workshops introduce a variety of tools, methods and technology that are integral to ESRI’s ArcGIS 9.3. These workshops are intended for the public, including persons working in GIS related fields for improving career advancement, students without GIS skills and those currently enrolled in the GIS Program are encouraged to attend.

Novice indicates a basic knowledge of computers necessary but no prior GIS skills; Intermediate recommended basic GIS skills; and Advanced is recommended for persons working with GIS and students of MSJC’s GIS Program.
